An evening with Frankie x Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann
The Frankie Shop is pleased to present our new dedicated boutique inside the world-renowned department store, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann.
Just days after the grand opening of our New York, Crosby St. pop-up in Soho, and the launch of a widespread FW22 Campaign captured by Chris Rhodes and styled by Suzanne Koller, The Frankie Shop is bringing our signature masculin-féminin style to one of the most coveted addresses in Paris, Galeries Lafayette.
Founded in New York by Française-turned-New Yorker, Gaëlle Drevet, the bi-continental concept store first opened its doors on the Lower East Side. Since then, our timeless mix of revisited classics and occasional eccentricities has garnered a loyal international following, including a number of the French capital’s fashion set.
The residency at Galeries Lafayette, occupies 70 m2 of the illustrious retail space situated on Boulevard Haussmann.
Last week, we hosted our first ever meet & greet with our founder Gaëlle Drevet, to celebrate the opening of our new dedicated boutique inside the historical Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann.
To celebrate the opening of the store, The Frankie Shop reproduced a limited range of our Sold Out tees which we launched for a pop-up at The Galeries Lafayette five years ago. You may have noticed that many styles are often sold out at The Frankie Shop…
“We aren’t trying to drive you crazy”, explained our founder Gaëlle Drevet.
“We started small and though we are getting bigger, our business model is not based on mass-production, we like to control the craftsmanship of our goods from top to bottom and let’s face it, we are also unable to really anticipate how fast certain styles will sell. New or old, it's always hard to predict how many pieces to buy of a particular style ahead of time. And more importantly, we want to make sure none of these pieces go to waste".
Every day we strive to serve our loyal customers with affordable modern classic separates. We are constantly on the lookout for staple pieces that will instantly refresh a wardrobe, and yes, they do tend to sell out… But guess what?
They will be coming back and we can promise you, they’ll be worth the wait.
Stay tuned as we open up in more spaces near you soon...
